College: Butte College, Chico State (B.S. Chemistry) and Midwestern University (Pharm.D.)
Karen Schad is the owner and founder of Quincy Pharmacy. Karen started Quincy Pharmacy in February 2017, with the dream of creating a community pharmacy that provided personalized service with a hometown feel, inspired by how drug stores used to operate. As a pharmacist herself, she truly believes that being a pharmacist is so much more than dispensing medication. It means being a friend, a medication expert, a lifestyle cheerleader, and trusted professional. Karen loves face to face interactions with her customers, and designed the pharmacy to easily accommodate the opportunity for customers to ask our pharmacists any questions they have. Overall, she is thankful for the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the community’s health and wellness, and to work alongside a staff that believes in her mission of excellent customer care.
Kassy Picou

College: Saint Louis College of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Kassy is our full time pharmacist, and has worked at Quincy Pharmacy since December 2018. After 8 years in chain pharmacy, Kassy feels like working at Quincy Pharmacy is a breath of fresh air! Independent pharmacy gives her the chance to impact lives in her community, as she had hoped to do when she set out to become a pharmacist. Kassy is passionate about women’s health, and recently finished her certification to prescribe birth control. She is also a certified immunizer and certified smoking cessation pharmacist. Kassy is such an amazing addition to the Quincy Pharmacy team, and we are thankful to have such a kind professional leading the day to day operations.
